What is Copper.net?

Copper.net is the original premium low-cost Internet service. Since 1997, Copper.net has offered fast reliable Internet access and email starting at $9.95 per month. Our HiSpeed option; Copper Premium, is available for no additional cost during your first month. This plan allows you to surf up to 19-times faster*, includes up to five email addresses, and now is bundled with CopperArchive. At less than half the price of AOL®, MSN and Earthlink, the value and benefits of Copper.net are hard to beat! Plus, Copper.net offers a risk-free 30-day money back guarantee on all accounts to insure you are completely satisfied with our service!

What makes Copper.net better than other ISPs?

It’s simple, we try harder! Copper.net has thousands of reliable access numbers, feature rich email and allows access to all major Instant Messaging programs (IM) like Yahoo, AOL® and MSN. However Copper.net has set itself apart from the crowd of other ISPs in three very important areas:

  1. Copper.net is a privately held American company. We have chosen not to outsource any of our services. This means if you call us for any reason, you will talk with our friendly staff who are easy to understand and can quickly provide assistance about your account or service. When you sign up with Copper.net, you are helping to support an American business and the American workers that are employed by it!
  2. Copper.net takes identity theft and your privacy very seriously. While other providers like AOL®, MSN, Netzero and Netscape believe they can securely track and sell their customers information and online habits, Copper.net has chosen against this type of activity. It just doesn’t make sense to us. Unlike other ISPs, we will not put your private information at risk or monitor your online activity just to make an extra buck!
  3. Copper.net believes you shouldn’t have to pay more for great customer service or technical support. This means our free and friendly technical support is available seven days a week online, by email or with a toll free phone call. At Copper.net you’re not just a number. We appreciate YOU!

Fast! Because Copper.net does not require you to install proprietary software that can slow down your connection, you should connect faster then you did with your previous provider. Copper.net provides an industry standard "56k" dial up connection. Your modem, the telephone lines and switches in your area, and user traffic affect the actual speed at which you connect. Copper.net uses updated Internet servers and equipment to provide you with the best connection we possibly can. With so many aspects involved in getting the best connection to you, it is easy to see why connection speeds will vary depending on your local area.

What operating systems does Copper.net support?

Copper.net is compatible with all mainstream operating systems. We recommend and offer technical support on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000/NT, XP, Vista, Win7 and Apple Mac OS 8 or greater. Although we cannot provide technical support for Linux, our dialup and email services are still a great option for that operating system. Copper.net is also a great inexpensive option for AOL® bring-your-own-access and Web TV.

Does Copper.net put any kind of banners or bars on your computer?
