I want to try copper.net while still connected to my current provider (with whom I am unhappy) so if copper.net does not work for me I still have an internet provider with which to search for a new provider. Can I use both providers while I make my decision? Also, I am a little computer illiterate. Your setup instructions on your main page seemed easy, will they appear to prompt me as I set up copper.net on my computer?

Trying Copper.net while using your current provider is easy.  Although you can't connect to both at the same time, you can compare one with the other individually.  And, with Copper.net's 30-day money back guarantee, you have nothing to lose!  To set up Copper.net, just call us or use our simple on line instructions at www.copper.net.

The first thing to do is contact Copper.net at 888-336-3318 or sign up online at www.copper.net.  Once you have your new Copper.net account, and you're ready to cancel your current provider, just call them.  Here is information on cancelling some of the larger providers:

America Online (AOL) AOL lets its members cancel by phone, fax or mail.
Phone: 1-888-265-8008    Fax: 1-801-622-7969 (include your full name, phone number, address and either your screenname or the last four digits of the credit card you billed the account to)
Mail: America Online, P.O. Box 1600, Ogden, UT 84401 (send the same information required for a fax) For additional information, go to Keyword: Cancel.
CompuServe Phone only 1-800-848-8990
Earthlink Phone only 1-800-890-6356
Microsoft Network(MSN) Phone only 1-800-386-5550
Prodigy Phone only 1-800-213-0992
Worldnet (AT&T) Phone only 1-888-613-3064
If your provider isn't listed here, please contact its customer service department.
