Email Setup Instructions - Outlook 2007

1) In Outlook 2007, go to the Tools Menu and select Account Settings. The Account Settings window will open.

2) Click New.
|
|
|
3) The Add New E-mail Account window will appear. For E-mail Service please select POP3 and click Next.
|
 
|
|
4) You will want to by-pass the automatic account set-up. To do this please check the box in the lower left corner labeled Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
Then click Next.

5) Since you are configuring an E-mail account, here you will select Internet E-mail
.
Click Next.
|

|
6) In the Internet E-mail Settings screen, please enter your personal and Copper.net information as follows:
Your Name: Your first and last name. Email: your Copper.ner email address. Incoming: mail.copper.net Outgoing: mail.copper.net Username: the first part of your email address, before @. Password: your password.
Please ensure that Remember Password is checked.
NOTE: FOR ALL OTHER DIAL-UP COMPANIES, THE USERNAME NEEDS TO BE THE FULL EMAIL ADDRESS (EXAMPLE@COMPANY.COM)

7) Next, you will need to click on the More Settings button on the right side of the window. This will bring up a new dialog box labled Internet Email Settings.

8) Click on the Outgoing Server tab.
Click the checkbox for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Click OK.
|

9) Now you are back to the previous e-mail settings window. Here you will need to click Next.
|

|
10) Your email account is now ready to be used. Click Finish to return to the inbox and check your email.
