Email Set-up Instructions - Opera 8.x

1) In Opera, click on the Tools menu, and then select Mail and Chat Accounts from the list.

The Manage Accounts window will appear.

2) In the Manage Accounts window click New.

3) In the wizard, select Regular E-mail (POP).

Click Next.

4) In the Real Name field enter your First and Last Names.  In the Email address field please enter your full Copper.net Email address.  Organization can be left blank.

5) The Login Name will be the first part of your email address (everything before the @ symbol).  The password will be your normal copper.net password.

NOTE: FOR ALL OTHER DIAL-UP COMPANIES, THE USERNAME NEEDS TO BE THE FULL EMAIL ADDRESS (EXAMPLE@COMPANY.COM)

6) In the Incoming Server field enter mail.copper.net.

In the Outgoing Server field enter the same.

Use secure connection and leave messages on server should remain unchecked.

Click Finish.

7) In the Manage Accounts window, highlight your Copper.net configuration and click Edit.

8) In the Account Properties window, click on the Servers tab.

On the Servers tab locate the Outgoing SMTP server section.  Verify that the username is displayed correctly, and that Secure Connection (TLS) is not checked.

9)  Your email configuration is now complete.  To return to the inbox and check your mail, click OK in the Manage Accounts window.
