Email Tech Support - Mac Mail 1.0

1) Click on the Mail menu, and then select Preferences.

The Accounts window will appear.

2) In the Accounts window, select your Copper.net email configuration and click Edit.

The Account Properties window will appear.

3) On the Account Information tab, verify that the server information is correct:

Description: your email address.
Email address: your email address.
Full Name: your name.

Incoming Server: mail.copper.net
Username: the first part of your email address (before @).
Password: your password.

Outgoing Server: mail.copper.net

NOTE: FOR ALL OTHER DIAL-UP COMPANIES, THE USERNAME NEEDS TO BE THE FULL EMAIL ADDRESS (EXAMPLE@COMPANY.COM)

Click the Options button.

4) Check your SMTP options:

Outing Server: mail.copper.net
Port: 25
Use SSL: Unchecked.
Authentication: Password
Username: the first part of your email address (before @).
Password: your password.

5) The last option to check is on the Advanced tab.

At the bottom, ensure that Authentication is set to Password.
